Head of Business Development

Ravensbourne is a world-class university, delivering cutting-edge teaching in digital media and design. We are a centre of excellence, supporting the development of individuals and businesses through learning, skills, applied research, enterprise and innovation across multiple professions.

Having recently gained full university status this is an exciting time to be joining us. Our state-of-the art facilities on the Greenwich Peninsula in London are also a serious hub for business, offering a destination for showcases, exhibitions, corporate hospitality and access to creative technology for training.

Our vision is to behave commercially in everything we do and to be distinctive nationally and globally for our approach to income diversification and commercial partnerships in education and research. Having introduced a new Commercial Framework, we now require a new Commercial Strategy which will see us seeking to strengthen our commercial offering to the wider business and public sectors. This new post has been created to lead and manage Ravensbourne’s commercial strategy. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Business Development will work across the University to engender a culture of commercial awareness and to drive income to the benefit of the students, academics and University. This is a new role, bringing together all commercial areas but with the aim of driving an increase in commercial income and leading sales and business development.

With responsibility for generating significant contribution to Ravensbourne’s income generation, we are looking for talented and ambitious individuals who have a track record of commercial success, either within the public sector or commercial sector, who have the ability to translate that experience to our global leading and unique institution. Candidates will bring an innovative approach to business development and will thrive in a dynamic and technology-oriented creative environment.
