Do you have the keen desire to become a barber? A fantastic opportunity for an individual who has the passion and flair to become a fully qualified barber, working with the Alternative Barbering team in their Berkhamsted salon.

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting and greeting clients
  • Booking appointments
  • Ensure the salon is clean and tidy
  • Making refreshments
  • Learning and training on the job
  • Assisting barbers
  • Gowning clients
  • Ensuring safe working practices

Training:

  • Hairdressing Professional Apprenticeship Standard - Barbering Pathway.
  • You will be trained and supported by both your employer and college to demonstrate professionalism, values, behaviours, communication skills and safe working practices associated with your role.
  • Barbers will be trained to shampoo and condition hair, cut hair using barbering techniques, style and finish hair, cut facial hair into shape and provide shaving services for men.
  • Required college attendance (Bletchley Campus) / in-house training.
  • Functional skills in both Maths and English if required.
