Working week: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm, 1 hour unpaid break

Mirus IT are looking to recruit an apprentice to help meet customer requirements efficiently and strive to resolve client user issues by delivering first time fix solutions, on time, every time.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our clients systems and network infrastructure ensuring they get maximum benefits from them.

Responsibilities:

  • To action Installs, Moves, Additions, and Changes (IMACs) related to our customer's infrastructures
  • To answer the telephone swiftly, working with the Team to achieve the Team's Telephone Performance KPIs (measured weekly)
  • To log all telephone calls and emails into the Autotask Ticket Management System
  • Manage and work to meet internal and customer SLAs
  • Help the Team achieve their Servicedesk KPIs (First Response KPI, the Average Time to respond KPI, and the Median Time to Resolve KPI)
  • Help to develop and maintain customer specific infrastructure documentation within the Mirus Knowledge Base
  • Learn to take end to end ownership of problem resolution
  • Learn to provide a First Level of investigation to Reactive Tickets
  • Managing client expectations through clear and regular communications
  • Take responsibility for own continual professional development, ensuring up to date industry and technical knowledge
  • Undertake all other reasonable requests

Desired qualifications:

  • 5 GCSEs Grade 4/C or above including Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • An IT qualification would be beneficial

Training:

  • Apprenticeship Standard for IT Infrastructure Technician
  • Attendance at College 
  • Regular visits from the College into the workplace
  • Observations and assessments in the workplace
  • Use of e-portfolio
  • End point assessment
  • Ongoing training and support from the employer
