MK Lightning have a rare opportunity to recruit a level 3 administrator to join our office team. Do you have an interest in sports business development, sponsor engagement and are willing to learn how to encourage new sponsorship opportunities?
We run a very successful school’s enterprise scheme and part of your training will be to collate and organise bookings & assemblies for our school visits, to support the growth and development of the scheme.
You will have a creative approach to new business development and be proactive in your support of the MK Lightning team.
Candidates will need to be willing to attend networking & promotional events that will fall outside of usual office hours when necessary.
You will manage a work-based project designed to develop the long-term success of our school enterprise scheme.
Candidates should be keen to further develop our processes and add value to all administrative areas of MK Lightning.
In this role, you will be working across all areas of administration as part of the MK Lightning team. You will be dealing with customers over the telephone, advising on seating, answering queries and sending out tickets to the fans.
Responsibilities:
- Managing our in-house databases, updating information to support our schools, sports groups and corporate bookings.
- Advertising for upcoming games and events, preparing flyers and other marketing materials.
- Attending networking events to promote the team and our offer to schools and other sports groups.
- Providing information to organisations to inform them of opportunities and offers with the team; increasing business for MK Lightning.
- Developing effective working relationships with schools, community groups and organisations supporting MK Lightning.
Desired skills:
- A good communicator with excellent time-keeping and organisational skills
- Confident on the telephone, be a good listener so they can learn to provide the correct level of customer service and support needed to support MK Lightning.
- Confident working with Excel spreadsheets
- Have a creative approach to new business development.
- Good IT Skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft packages

Desired qualifications:
GCSE English & maths, grade A* - C, 4- 9 or equivalent
