Working week: Monday to Friday, 9-5. 1 hour lunch. 37.5 hours per week
This is an excellent opportunity to work for an IT systems integrator and managed service provider based in Bicester. You will work on the IT Support Desk providing outstanding 1st line support and customer service and gain skills and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals
- Documenting customer/employee support requests
- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- Communicating resolutions
- Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time
- Escalate requests as required
- Installing and configuring computer systems
- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Talking users through a series of actions over the telephone or face to face, to help set resolve issues or set up systems
- Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- Supporting the roll-out of new applications
- Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with requests
- Diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
- Testing and evaluating new technology
- Support the development of solutions and services
- Support the delivery of IT projects
Desired qualifications:
- GCSE Grade A*-C (or equivalent) in English, Maths & Science
- GCSE/A Level qualification in ICT, Web Design and/or a technical related subject
Training:
- Apprenticeship Standard for ICT Infrastructure Technician
- Attendance at College (Silbury Campus)
- Regular visits from the College into the workplace
- Observations and assessments in the workplace
- Use of e-portfolio
- End point assessment
