Working week: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm, 40 hours per week
We are looking for an Internal Communications Apprentice to join our team. Working at the heart of our World Championship winning Formula One Team, you'll be contributing to the development and delivery of first-class employee communications.
In this role you will learn the fundamentals of working within the Communications function
During the programme you will be mentored by the Internal Communications Manager. She will help you to develop specialist skills and knowledge in an environment that enables you to maximize your potential. The duration of the programme will be a minimum of 2 years but the exact duration will depend on the prior experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the development and delivery of a range of varied and exciting internal events to engage, inspire and motivate our Team members
- You will build a comprehensive knowledge of internal communications channels, learn about content creation, how to develop campaigns and news stories, and communicate with clarity and consistency.
- You will be involved in the planning and execution of our employee events, from company briefings to large-scale special events such the Christmas Party and Summer Family Day.
- You will also support the Team’s charitable activities and local community initiatives.
Desired skills:
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Good verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills.
- Experience of event management would be desirable.
Personal qualities:
You will be dependable, enthusiastic, willing to learn and have a mind-set of continuous improvement. You will be developing relationships at various levels with different departments across the Company so the ability to communicate well is essential. Working under pressure and to tight deadlines is the norm so prioritising and managing your workload effectively is critical.
We are looking for a self-motivated team player who has a passion to achieve the highest standards. You must be eager to deliver in a fast-paced, demanding work environment and have the resilience to overcome challenges on a daily basis.
Desired qualifications:
You must be over 16 years old and have achieved/been predicted a minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade A*- C (or equivalent). These must include Maths and English.
Training:
- Apprenticeship Standard for Business Administrator
- Functional Skills qualifications (if required)
- Attendance at College and independent study within the workplace
- Regular visits from the College to the workplace
- Observations and assessments in the workplace
- Use of e-portfolio
- End point assessment
