Apprentice Wood Machinist Technician

Fixed term contract for two years.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Apprentice Wood Machinist Technician to join the hardworking Construction team at our Castleford Campus.

As an Apprentice Wood Machinist Technician, you would assist in providing technical support within the College’s Carpentry and Joinery provision. The apprenticeship will involve supporting tutors in the preparation and maintenance of their materials and equipment, supporting tutors to maintain a healthy and safe environment and assisting in routine maintenance of equipment and the workshop environment.

As an Apprentice Wood Machinist Technician, you should:

• Have experience of working with woodworking machines and equipment
• Knowledge of Health and Safety in a workshop setting
• Hold GCSEs Grade A* - C / 9 - 4 in English and Maths
• Show willingness to undertake the apprenticeship framework/training
