Security Officers

Term time only.

Nescot College is set in an attractive green campus outside Epsom with a large free on-site car park and convenient rail links to London and the South East from the neighbouring mainline station. The College is in the midst of extensive redevelopment to its 7-acre campus. In addition to a final salary pension scheme and generous holidays, staff have access to on-site facilities including sports centre, hair and beauty salons, motor vehicle service centre, osteopathy clinic, restaurant and nursery.

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Security Officers to work as part of our Estates, Health and Safety Team. 

As a key member of our Security Team, you will be equally comfortable working alone and using your own initiative. You will have a strong commitment to ensuring safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our learners, in order to provide a safe and secure environment for our students, staff and visitors. A good understanding and awareness of current security environments and the ability to deal with a variety of situations in a calm and professional manner is key.

You will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build appropriate and professional relationships with staff and students, and be able to quickly assess situations and take the appropriate actions to defuse and manage a range of situations.

Experience of working in a similar environment or with young people is preferred. 

A flexible approach to working hours is required. The team provide Security services across the College’s operational hours by working a variable shift basis (day time and evenings only) covering Monday to Saturday
