University Campus Oldham – Higher Education at Oldham College, opened in May 2005 bringing higher education courses to the people of Oldham, allowing local students to access a university education close to home.  Since August 2012, University Campus Oldham, has been part of the Oldham College.  Our courses are of the highest quality as they are validated by leading United Kingdom universities who have the highest quality standards, approved by QAA (Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education).

Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for a number of key quality assurance duties within the organisation.  These include acting as point of contact between our Awarding Partners and our academic staff on all matters relating to the quality assurance of UCO’s validated awards; externally directed activities such as support for quality assurance reviews, as well as institutional activities such as course validations and reviews; coordinating External Examiner appointments, reports and responses, and assisting the Head of HE Quality and Registry with data and statistics in preparation for annual evaluation reports and periodic review activities.  The post holder will also be responsible for servicing committees and working groups.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with colleagues at a corporate level within the institution, and beyond, and a commitment to a high quality customer service. The skills to plan, prioritise and organise work to achieve objectives on time. Whilst demonstrating a willingness to be flexible and proactive; an understanding of the challenges of a busy department and the ability to cope with change. Excellent IT skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook are essential.
