The Land-based department at Kirklees College is a high performing section with very good achievement rates. The section is looking to recruit bank staff in Animal Care. The Animal Care post could be based across the Land-Based sites as below, however its most likely to be the Taylor Hill Centre.

- Carr Head Farm
- Waterfront Centre
The centre houses over 80+ species and includes aviaries, indoor and outdoor mammal units, reptile unit, aquarium, dog grooming unit and a small area housing livestock. Using their industrial experience and knowledge the successful candidate will be responsible for effective teaching and management of a class and will also contribute significantly to the curriculum and teaching in the School.
The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C) a minimum relevant up to date qualification in the subject area at Level 3 or above. You will also need a Level 5 Teaching Qualification.
