Assistant Head Coach

Fixed term until 30 June 2019. 

Minimum of 28 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Head Coach to support our Football Centre of Excellence at Grantham College.

We are looking for an outstanding person to take part responsibility for leading the Harrowby United and Grantham College Centre of Excellence (COE) teams. The purpose of the role is to deliver the coaching programme to support our players to maximise their full potential.  

The main responsibilities will be to:

• Plan, deliver and reflect on coaching sessions to the 16-18s
• Deliver sports theory in a classroom based setting
• Provide a high standard of coaching, educating players in line with the COE player development guidelines
• Conduct performance reviews for selected players. 
• Liaise with COE staff to ensure best practice is delivered to players
• Assist the support staff where possible to give the players the best experience possible
• Liaise closely with College Tutors regarding attendance, punctuality, academic performance to support with the all-around development of the players with the COE. 
• Support with recruitment and retention of players and the creation of links with local clubs

 You will need to:

• Have a UEFA B Licence and FA Licensed Coach Club membership
• Demonstrate effective leadership
• Be experienced in coaching in elite youth football
• Have excellent communication, ICT & organisational skills
• Be First Aid trained or willing to work towards
