Learning and Development Coach

Location: Nottingham Cross Campus

Nottingham College is a £90 million hub of skills, training and education and has been formed as a result of the city’s two existing FE colleges coming together in June 2017. The vision of the College is about excellence. Excellent students, excellent teaching, excellent facilities and above all, delivering that excellence to serve the business, social and cultural growth of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

To support our journey from good to outstanding we wish to appoint inspirational teachers to act as Learning and Development Coaches. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about improving the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and eager to help other teachers to secure high quality learning and progress.

You will contribute to embedding the teacher development strategy and work closely with teachers across the full range of the college provision to assess and enhance the quality of the learning experience. This role is pivotal in driving quality improvements in teaching, learning and assessment and will involve:

  • Coaching, mentoring and leading professional development
  • Developing innovative learning methods and resources
  • Conducting observations and learning walks

Applications are welcomed from enthusiastic, creative and committed members of the teaching profession who are keen to make a difference to the people of Nottingham. You will be a strong communicator with a collaborative style and above all be committed to the highest standards and inspiring others to achieve those. We are particularly keen to receive applications from people who have experience in A Level delivery.
