The Horticulture and Floristry division at Plumpton College are a high performing team, who are passionate about their subjects and innovative in their approach to delivery, which results in outstanding achievement rates for our full time and part time courses. Our external reputation is high, with floristry and horticulture students alike achieving awards outside of the college curriculum.
It is an exciting time to join us as we have a unique project, with a £3.5m investment being made to develop our Stanmer Park campus on the outskirts of Brighton to deliver a high quality horticultural destination (designed in conjunction with Dominic Cole). This will be a Centre of Excellence that will enhance the curriculum and prepare our learners for a modern horticultural world.
We are seeking an adaptable and driven individual, who can lead this successful division and continue to the develop the team, bringing new ideas and supporting the innovation already taking place in Horticulture as we continue to deliver outstanding education to our students. You will be an experienced manager who has strong financial, commercial and people management skills and who shares our vision to be the best we can be. Although you will ideally have experience of working within an education and training setting, this is not essential and we offer exceptional CPD opportunities, with professional development programme in place to support and develop your educational skills.
As well as a competitive salary, a range of salary enhancements and relocation support or temporary accommodation are available for the right candidate. You can also look forward to a great range of benefits including 30 days holiday plus bank holidays, membership of the Teachers’ pension scheme, child care voucher scheme and free on-site parking. Management Development opportunities are available as well as the opportunity to continue with relevant continuous professional development.
