Food Service Catering Assistant

Term time only. 

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and confident Food Service Catering Assistant to join our Catering Team. Reporting to the Catering Manager, you will take responsibility for the day to day operation of our Pit Stop Café/Snack bar, providing a light café/snack bar style food and beverage service and ensuring a high quality catering service is delivered for students, staff and visitors.

This is a one person operation, and as such the successful candidate will be confident to work without daily supervision from the catering team, although support will be given from within the management team on Campus and from the Plumpton campus catering team. This post is a permanent full time role on a term time only contract (38 weeks) and working hours will be Monday to Friday from 8.00am till 4.00pm. As this is a term time only contract, the actual salary will be £11,908.98.

The ideal candidate will have some food preparation and cooking experience or experience in working in a café or school/college catering environment. You will be a professional, hardworking and confident team player with a track record of working in a similar catering environment or fresh produce catering establishments.
