Maternity cover until 3 March 2019 or the return of the post holder.
37 hours per week, 40 weeks term time.
You will be part of the ALS team required to work within the Curriculum Centre/s delivering support to students. This will include: supporting in a teaching role in class, small groups or 1:1; workshop support in the Learning Hub; identifying how best to meet learners needs in and out of the classroom; monitoring/reviewing of students’ progress and achievements (including the Education Health and Care Plans and Individual Study Programmes); and reviewing the impact/value added of ALS to drive continuous improvement.
With an awareness of current affairs in inclusive education and issues relating to disability you will have a PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification as well as a relevant Level 4 or above qualification. You must have experience in teaching/assessing students with learning difficulties/ disabilities and be able to work with minimum supervision with sound organizational and administrative skills.
