About You

Are you a pro-active, enthusiastic and a personable individual? Do you have experience in providing customer service to a high standard? If so we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Coventry College!

We are looking to recruit a Guidance and Information Adviser within our Student and Learning Services team who can provide an outstanding customer service experience to our service users such as prospective students, existing students and parents.

About Role

In this key role you will provide clear information, advice and guidance that will enable students and parents to make informed decisions on course choices and successfully apply for a programme of study. Therefore it is critical that you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in providing information and advice services within an educational environment. You will need to be comfortable with prioritising your own workload and working to tight deadlines therefore being pro-active and organised is essential for this role.

You will be a team player and have experience of being able to develop sustainable relationships with external customers. You will need to be able to demonstrate a high standard of customer care skills.

As this role will involve data entry and assisting with preparation of promotional materials you will need to have strong attention to detail as well as a high standard of literacy and numeracy skills and be competent in IT.

Candidates must have:

  • Level 2 Maths and English Qualifications 
  • An IAG or Welfare related qualification is advantageous

You will also support on the admissions and enrolment process.
