Are you a pro-active, enthusiastic and a personable individual?  Do you have experience in providing customer service to a high standard? If so we have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Student Services Adviser. The roles we have available are as follows:

  • Full time, fixed term contract up to 6 months, £17,811 - £20,005 per annum
  • Part time (18.5 hours), fixed term contract up to 12 months, £8,906 - £10,003 per annum pro rata
  • Part time (27 hours), permanent, £12,997 - £14,598 per annum pro rata

In this pivotal role you work as part of the Customer Contact Centre within Student Services which provides responsive switchboard, admissions, accommodation and financial support services to students, staff and visitors to the College.

You will be expected to be multi-skilled and work across both campuses to support the Guidance and Information functions.

About You

Educated to Level 2 in English and Maths you will also have a Level 4 IAG qualification (or willingness to achieve this).

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in providing information and advice services ideally within an educational environment.  You will be a team player and have experience of being able to develop sustainable relationships with stakeholders.

As you will be communicating regularly it is essential that you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and you can demonstrate a high standard of customer care skills.

You will need to be comfortable with prioritising your own workload and working to tight deadlines therefore being pro-active and organised is essential for this role. Knowledge of students requiring additional learning support would also be advantageous.

As this role will involve data entry and assisting with preparation of promotional materials you will need to have strong attention to detail as well as a high standard of literacy and numeracy skills and be competent in IT. 

You will also support on the admissions and enrolment process.
