About You
Are you a friendly, outgoing individual who enjoys working as part of a team? Can you remain calm when under pressure and have the ability to handle rejection? Coventry College are looking for an experienced Telesales and Sales Support to join our team.
An excellent communicator, you will work within a team where you will contact new and existing customers of the College therefore excellent interpersonal skills and negotiation skills will be essential to this role.
A patient individual, you will have the ability to learn about the services that the College provides and be able to confidently and effectively provide and describe this to prospective customers.
You will be able to adapt your personal style to reflect the range of emotions presented when resolving issues and addressing complaints. You will have excellent written and verbal skills to be able to convey technical information to a range of people via telephone and email.
About the role
You will be responsible for contacting new and existing customers of the College to secure appointments for Sector Engagement Officers and other College staff as and when required. As part of the role you will be expected to answer any questions about our services or the College and to also ask questions to understand our customer’s requirements and to essentially close sales.
It is therefore essential for you to have proven experience of working in a telesales role and of working in a customer service environment dealing with significant call volumes. You will be able to deliver a fantastic service in an enthusiastic, confident and professional manner.
You will also have a proven track record of successfully meeting sales targets preferably over the phone.
Good Microsoft Office skills are also important.
