Commercial Stylist and Trainer/Assessor
Milton Keynes College are looking to appoint a creative and enthusiastic team player with outstanding industry expertise to join the team as a Commercial Stylist and Educator here at the Graduate Salon.
The position will be working with the motivated team within the school of Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Hospitality & Events. As the successful candidate, you will be an adaptable individual with outstanding hairdressing skills. You will be able to combine current industry knowledge and experience with outstanding teaching ability to inspire and motivate our students. Our students are focused on being professional hairdressers and therefore thrive from being within an outstanding learning environment.
You will be a professional, hardworking individual with a keen interest in working with a dedicated and passionate team of professionals in our fantastic Graduate salon facility, Francesco franchise and Wahl Academy partnership. The Graduate Hair & Beauty salon is open to the public providing a wide variety of services to clients allowing our students to learn in a creative and realistic environment and therefore understand the full client experience.
As the successful candidate you will have:
Experience working at a senior level within a commercial hairdressing salon, delivering high standards of hairdressing skills, meeting a wide range of clients' needs and requirements
The ability to apply appropriate and fair methods of assessment and provide constructive and timely feedback to support progression and achievement for our learners
Experience of Assessing/training creatively, adapting to the needs of a variety of learners and be willing to explore new learning strategies
Experience of designing and delivering workplace skills and knowledge training sessions
The ability to Lead and co-ordinate innovative and inspiring skills development sessions with the commercial manager
Experience of coordinating and scheduling client bookings
The ability to manage an in-house computer systems and monitor the efficiency and progress of the reception area, complying with all data protection and other relevant legislation
Experience of coordinating commercial targets for skills development for individual’s record outcomes on pro monitor and one file.
