IT Systems Engineer

We are seeking to recruit a 2nd line IT systems Engineers who will work as part of our IT support services, working in partnership with the academic departments and other services to ensure an excellent level of service is delivered to our students and staff. You will also ensure that second line services support both first line support colleagues as well as the wider organisation and ensure that those activities are aligned with future technical developments and changes within Hartpury.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of providing an excellent second line technical support service, ideally within the education sector. You will have a proven track record and practical experience of managing a diverse range of IT systems using a range of management tools, including a knowledge of SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange and have experience of common application packages and their deployment including MS Office and anti-virus software with those systems and services based both on premise and in the cloud. With highly developed problem solving skills, you will work with colleagues to contribute to a culture of continuous service improvement. A proven track record of excellent communication skills is essential with the ability to communicate confidently with all levels of the organisation. Ideally, you will possess a relevant industry qualification or equivalent experience in IT gained over at least 3 years.
