Student Progress Coach for IT (0.5 FTE)
Term time only, 38 weeks per year
Start September 2018
Nescot is looking to add to its successful team of Progress Coaches in order to support our further education students in achieving their qualifications and progressing to further or higher study or work.
Working with a caseload of students you will deliver tutorials and support to students along with effective pastoral and academic target setting and reviews. You will get to know your students, what motivates them to achieve and identifying with them the strategies they will need in order to maximise their potential.
This is an opportunity to work with and inspire young people to help them become qualified in the occupation of their choice and to develop the personal and academic skills they need to progress or to get a job.
You should have experience of working with young people, be confident in delivering to groups of students as well as working on a 1 to 1 basis. In addition, you should have excellent organisational and motivational skills and be able to work as part of a team to help young people to attend, enjoy and achieve.
We are able to offer you the local government pension scheme, generous holidays and the facilities of a College campus set in 7 acres of green belt in a peaceful setting. The College has excellent transport links and is set in a location convenient to London and the South East and offers a large free on-site car park.
Closing date for applications is Wednesday 15 August 2018
Interviews will be held on Thursday 23 August 2018
