Helping young students secure their first ever work experience placement with an employer is a pretty rewarding job don’t you think? You will be joining the Employer Hub team who works with local and regional employers. The Employer Hub acts as “One-Stop-Shop” for all employer needs.
You will work with young people, understanding what their goals and ambitions are, and then identifying work placements with employers. The young people are working on the Study Programme, which helps to prepare them for the world of work through studying vocational and functional skills.
A big focus will be on developing new employer’s relationships as well as keeping existing employers and acting as their accounts manager.
You will need to be organised, methodical, passionate in working with young people, and ideally have experience in stakeholder engagement.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience delivering successful work experience programmes, will have excellent communication skills, be organised, detailed and able to manage own workload with clear deadlines. You will also need to have knowledge and experience including assessing the suitability of work placements. This role requires frequent meetings with parents, teachers and the young people.
We are able to offer you a local government salary pension scheme, generous annual leave and the facilities of a College campus set in 7 acres of green belt in a peaceful setting. The College has excellent transport links and is set in a location convenient to London and the South East offering a large free on-site car park.
Closing date for applications is Tuesday 28 September 2018.
Interviews will be held on Monday 3 September 2018.
