Communication Support Worker (Maternity Cover)
Maternity cover post from 28th August 2018 - 5th April 2019.
Full time during term time (36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year).
We are seeking to appoint a Communication Support Worker to provide support for deaf and hard of hearing students. You would also work with College staff to support the students in their studies and provide cover for colleagues to ensure that all their lessons are supported.
You should be qualified to a minimum of British Sign Language Level 3, possess good signing skills and have experience of working with deaf and/or hard of hearing people, ideally in an educational environment. Good team working skills and a flexible approach to meeting the needs of all students are also required.
