We're in the business of making our learners' experience the best it can be; one where we inspire them to be the best that they can be.

We currently have a number of supply tutor roles in HMP Northumberland. We are looking to build a bank of tutors that are available to come in and work for us at short notice.

HMP Northumberland is a Category C Adult Male prison situated close to the village of Acklington, north of Morpeth, in Northumberland. Novus delivers quality Maths, English and IT along with business, personal and social development and employment skills. The vocational curriculum includes, barbering, catering and hospitality, mulktiskills, bricklaying, plastering, woodwork, industrial cleaning and performance manufacturing operations.  Novus is looking to recruit cover tutors and trainers to complement its enthusiastic and motivated team who deliver all year round to our varied cohorts of learners.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to demonstrate an ability to motivate, lead and support others and to share best practice to benefit all. Our core values are integral to how we do things so whether we're talking about our 'one team' approach (by working in a collaborative way), or having a 'can do' attitude (when it comes to achieving what might sometimes seem like the impossible), these are all essential traits of what we feel makes a great supply tutor.

Passionate and experienced at delivering high quality teaching in a subject specialism, you must have a teaching qualification and/or subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding qualification within a specified time scale.

Previous experience of curriculum delivery and a track record of successful learner outcomes is also required.

We're part of the larger LTE group family with more than 4,500 colleagues working across all five of our businesses. Just imagine how this might open up a field of future career opportunities for you.  So, don't just think about now, think about your future and what you can achieve personally if you join us.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview and to attend an open day on 6th August 2018.
