Based in Waltham Forest, East London, Sir George Monoux Sixth Form College offers a wide range of A Level and vocational courses for over 1600 students. We serve a diverse student community, from a range of backgrounds, both from within and outside the borough. The number of students coming from disadvantaged backgrounds is higher than the national average. Overwhelmingly, our students make good progress, with over 95% advancing to University or Apprenticeships.

Increasing the support provision for our students is a key part of our strategic aims. We believe in developing a student’s life skills, self-determination and desire to achieve both in their education and their future careers. The Student Support and Wellbeing Manager plays a key role in developing a supportive and personalised learning experience for our students.

Leading in the areas of pastoral support (with a large emphasis on mentoring); safeguarding and learning support, you will be responsible for building on the prior success and developing future growth in these areas.

As an individual you should be ambitious, creative and able to respond to the changing needs of our students from year to year. You should be an expert in at least one of the areas given above and also be able to demonstrate a successful track record of managing an excellent support service to young people.
