Working week: Flexible hours required Monday to Friday between 8.00am - 6.30pm, 37.5 hours per week
Eve Hill Medical Practice are looking for a hardworking and driven candidate that is able to work in a fast paced, customer focused environment. You will assist the team by working within the reception and admin department of a busy GP Practice. This is an exciting opportunity which will give you a firm foundation towards a career in the NHS.
Responsibilities:
- Dealing with patients face to face and via the telephone
- Booking and arriving patients for appointments
- Arranging home visits
- Raising and distributing prescriptions
- Entering data on to EMIS Clinical System
- Scanning correspondence to Docman Electronic Document Management System
- Assisting both reception, secretarial and administrative team
- Dealing with patient/doctor queries
- Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times General administrative duties
- General housekeeping
Desired skills:
- Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to communicate face-to-face, over the telephone and written, with a range of people including patients and health professionals
- Understanding of what is required when providing good customer service
Personal qualities:
- Ability to relate to people and build effective working relationships within and across teams
- Willingness to learn
- Understanding of confidentiality and what is required in order to maintain it.

Desired qualifications:
- 3 GCSE at A-C Grade including Maths & English or equivalent is required
Training:
- Full training will be provided on an ongoing daily basis and when required. You will be working towards a NVQ Level 2 Business Administration qualification
- An assessor will be allocated to you to progress/help you through you course. Continual assessment for NVQ’s coupled with assignments/or exams depending on course of study. Time spent training will be part of the agreed contracted hours of the working week
