Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield, Newcastle and Penrith.

We offer a wide-ranging curriculum to our Further Education students, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Management, Countryside and the Environment, Engineering, Equine, Floristry, Motorsport, Professional Tree Surgery, Outdoor Adventure Sport, Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness, Uniformed Public Services, Veterinary Nursing and Hair and Beauty.

As part of their Study Programme, our students will undertake work experience, enrichment and student CPD. We are working towards the centralisation of all these elements of the Study Programme in order to deliver a vibrant programme that will enhance the lifelong employability skills of our students.

We are seeking a number of individuals who will be responsible for coordinating a high quality work placement programme for students on Study Programmes within specific departments. Sector experience and knowledge in one or more of the above curriculum areas will be beneficial. 

With a good standard of education to at least NVQ Level 3, you will have a thorough knowledge of FE, T-Levels and work related learning, work placement requirements and processes and experience of liaison with employers to secure placements.

This is an exciting and varied role which will require an organised team player with excellent communication skills who can relate to both students and employers, and with a proven ability to manage and respond to conflicting priorities. Excellent administration skills will also be required and a high level of proficiency in learning and using software packages.

This is a part-time position which focuses on the following curriculum area: Animal Management/Equine/Health. 

Successful applicants will require an enhanced DBS check.
