Achievement Tutor (Maternity Cover)

Maternity cover position until June 2019.

We are looking to hire a knowledgeable and compassionate Achievement Tutor to deliver a high quality, learner focused teaching and learning experience. As directed by the Line Manager, this role will manage a caseload of learners and deliver a highly effective tutorial and pastoral programme which ensures the overall academic, pastoral, social and behavioural progress of learners is tracked and supported so learners achieve outstanding retention, achievement and progression outcomes.

You will value each learner as an individual and provide support, guidance and care to enable them to achieve to their maximum potential, working in collaboration with other staff, internal and external support services and working closely with parents/carers as appropriate. It's your responsibility to deliver regular, high quality 1-1 pastoral reviews to monitor and review the progress of a caseload of learners through their Study Programme/course including, as appropriate to the learner cohort, vocational, Maths and English, work placements, enrichment participation, and employability skills.

Salaries are based on qualifications, experience and skills and any offer of salary is subject to job evaluation.
