Lecturer in Science (Maternity Cover)*
The Faculty of Science and Care at Nottingham College offers students the opportunity to study a wide range of courses in a friendly and supportive environment with excellent teaching, high quality resources and opportunities for a range of sporting, leisure and cultural activities.
We are currently looking for a Science lecturer who is a dedicated, enthusiastic teacher to join our faculty. The successful applicant will be able to teach at Levels 1 to 3 including 16-19’s as well as adults. You will have knowledge of BTEC delivery and assessment and will be adaptable to meet the needs of your students. You will be a responsible and confident teacher who has the skills to inspire both students and colleagues.
Applicants should have recent experience of teaching science and be able to deliver biology, chemistry and physics at Levels 1 and 2 with a specialism in at least one of the three sciences at Level 3. This can be either in your current post or as part of your PGCE. Applicants should have the ability to work as part of a team and develop and share innovative and stimulating teaching and learning resources.
Applicants must be passionate about teaching in the FE sector, and be committed to ensuring that our learners make the best possible progress. As such, applicants must also have a good sense of humour, the ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
You will have a teaching qualification and be passionate about being a professional educator to young people.
