The British Film Institute’s Film Academy Network Programme has established itself as the national standard for young people looking to pursue a career in practical filmmaking. In partnership with Plymouth College of Art, Devon and Cornwall’s only BFI Film Academy provides industry level filmmaking education alongside guest speaker masterclasses and the opportunity to create a short film.
We are seeking a tutor to join our BFI Film Academy delivery team for the 2018/2019 academic year.
You will be expected to have strong technical and theoretical knowledge of contemporary filmmaking practices and a proactive approach to ensuring that the practical outcomes of the film academy are exemplary. You will also have experience in managing groups of young people and a desire to share knowledge with the filmmakers of the future.
You will be committed to engaging with the NCFE qualification structure to provide accurate tracking and assessment, and you will enjoy the creative challenges of working to tight deadlines within this exciting, unique and successful specialist art school.
You will be welcomed as part of a close knit community committed to the support and development of our team members and continuing the success of the BFI Film Academy programme here at Plymouth College of Art.
