Perth College UHI is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed professional who will be able to carry out and demonstrate all aspects of Core Skills in a range of teaching environments.

There is a need for a specialist Communications Lecturer with the additional ability to teach at least one other core skill.  It is desirable the post holder be skilled in either IT or Numeracy to give flexibility and develop our multi-skilled integrated staff.  You will develop contextualised material in accordance with the curriculum for excellence and to comply with SQA guidelines. You will also help develop the team’s vision for interdisciplinary teaching methods.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent.  Previous teaching experience is desirable and a teaching qualification (TQFE) or similar would be advantageous.

You must have clear and confident communication skills, the ability to relate well to others and work as part of a team.  Good planning and organisational skills, initiative and self-motivation are also required.   It is desirable that you have the ability to teach at least one other core skill from IT or Numeracy.
