Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit four suitably qualified individuals to take up the exciting posts of Business Development Advisors.

What we can offer you

Edinburgh College is looking to recruit 4 new Business Development Advisors to join our highly successful UK Commercial Development team. As part of our commercial growth strategy, the main purpose of these posts is to identify new business opportunities within specific market sectors in order to generate commercial income for the college. Therefore you will be expected to achieve very challenging income targets, whilst working to key performance indicators as agreed with the Business Development Manager.

Working closely with a number of teams across the college, including Faculty Heads, Curriculum Managers, and UK and International Commercial Development colleagues, you will proactively identify opportunities to sell bespoke training and consultancy to employers. You will also support the growth of our scheduled training courses portfolio and apprenticeship contracts.

We would be particularly interested in hearing from Business Development and Sales professionals with experience of working in market sectors aligned to one of our Faculties (Creative Industries; Engineering & Built Environment; Tourism, Hospitality & Business; Health, Wellbeing & Social Sciences).

What you can offer us

You will be an experienced Business Development professional with a proven track record of achieving challenging income targets. Your outstanding communication, presentation and project management skills will be vital to your success in the post. You may come from an education background or a large, complex organisation in which your stakeholder and relationship management skills have been developed to the highest standards. 

Due to an occasional requirement to travel to various sites, you must have a Driving License and have access to your own transport.
