Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield, Newcastle and Penrith.

We offer a wide-ranging curriculum to our Further Education students, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Management, Countryside and the Environment, Engineering, Equine, Floristry, Motorsport, Professional Tree Surgery, Outdoor Adventure Sport, Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness, Uniformed Public Services, Veterinary Nursing and Hair and Beauty.

As part of their Study Programme, our students will undertake work experience, enrichment and student CPD. We are working towards the centralisation of all these elements of the Study Programme in order to deliver a vibrant programme that will enhance the lifelong employability skills of our students.

We are looking for an individual to co-ordinate and oversee the delivery of the Student CPD and Enrichment Programme across college. The post-holder will work closely with curriculum and support services to research, develop and produce a comprehensive programme for students to support their personal behaviour, development and welfare. Part of this will take the form of large scale ‘conference’ style events to address topics such as employability skills, life skills and wellbeing. The post-holder will also be responsible for promoting cross college student involvement activities, including working with the Students Union and Student Council, which have a positive impact on student experience.

With a good standard of education and a youth work qualification/teaching qualification (or equivalent), you will have experience in working in a team and leading on large-scale projects, including budget management. You will have a proven track record of working with young people and have a thorough knowledge of enrichment processes and opportunities. You will have excellent communication skills and will be able to relate to a broad range of students in different cohorts. The successful candidate will also have a track record of effective networking and relationship-building with external stakeholders and engaging with them to deliver services to young people.

Successful applicants will require an enhanced DBS check.

Closing date: 15 July 2018.

Interview: 24 July 2018.
