We have a great opportunity at HMP Wealstun to join the education team as an Information and Guidance Worker on a permanent, part time (18.5 hours per week) basis. The purpose of this role is to support and offer guidance and advice to learners with regards to their resettlement back into the community.
To do this successfully you'll need:
- To hold or be willing to work towards a Level 3 information, advice and guidance qualification within an agreed timescale.
- To hold or be willing to work towards Level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy within an agreed timescale.
- Relevant experience of conducting initial assessments and supporting learning of individuals and groups.
- Experience of working with groups of learners with a range of abilities.
