If so then this could be a perfect role for you! We are Study Group, a global pathway provider in International Education. Durham University International Study Centre has been open for a year and has seen some fantastic growth. Due to this, an exciting opportunity has opened at the centre, and we are now interested to find an experienced Assessment Coordinator to join the Professional Services Team.

What is this role and where does it fit in?

Reporting to the Academic Administration Team Leader, this role will be responsible for the coordination of activities for assessments and examinations across the centre, from organisation to the recording, checking and reporting of results. You would produce schedules/timetables, as well as provide administrative support for examination boards and other academic board, and activities in the centre. This role offers fantastic opportunity to develop your skillset as the position will act as a Deputy to the Academic Administration Team Leader.

What experience do you need?

To be successful in this role, the right candidate will need to have previous experience working with exams and assessments. The eye for detail is key, as well as a data-driven way of working. We would like someone that has created, checked, and reported on large volumes of data, so it’s fair to say that this person requires a strong ability with spreadsheets. See some experience below that will definitely be of interest.

  • Expert knowledge of exams and assessment administration.
  • Previous experience working in an admin team in Further or Higher Education.
  • Experience using a University database.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills with a high capability with excel.
  • Determination, focus, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Where is this role based?

Our Durham University Study Centre is the newest to the Study Group network, recently opening its doors in September last year. Based in the stunning Queens Campus, it is now a fully functional centre full of talented students from across the globe. The centre runs a varied curriculum across the International Foundation and the Pre-Masters programme. This is an energetic centre, where no day is the same. The centre is right next to the River Tees and the stunning Infinity Bridge.
