We are looking to appoint a dedicated and talented technician to join in our Hospitality & Catering team. This role is crucial to ensuring that our learners receive an outstanding learning experience and that our restaurant function remains commercially viable and thriving.
The successful candidate will carry out tasks necessary for the facilitation of outstanding course delivery across the specialist areas by assisting teachers and lecturers in demonstrating skills to learners. The successful candidate will likewise support the restaurant service by supervising students in their different roles including the bar area.
The successful candidate will have primary responsibility to ensure kitchens and equipment are cleaned regularly and kept at a high operational standard in line with Health & Safety in working practices, COSHH and HACCP principles. They will also maintain the consumable resources required for teaching and take responsibility to order, receive and distribute food ready for practical lessons as well as processing food returns and keeping regular stock takes.
The successful candidate will ensure staff, students and customers are treated in accordance to the highest possible standards of customer care. They will thrive under pressure, be able to multi-task and always ensure expected outcomes are met.
You should be qualified to at least Level 2 in a relevant vocational qualification. You should also have a Level 1 qualification in food safety and hygiene or be willing to complete one upon appointment.
