Job Coach for Supported Internships
32 hours per week, term time only.
We are looking for a passionate professional individual to join our Learning for Life and Work team. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with young people with learning difficulties and disabilities in an educational setting.
The primary focus of the Job Coach is to provide work related support to individuals taking part in the Supported Internships Programme. The ideal candidate will provide support to employees with a disability and help the employee learn to perform the JD of the Supported Internship.
The ideal candidate will also engage with employers to secure realistic employment opportunities for the project beneficiaries and hence will understand the concept of job brokering and be able to negotiate job descriptions that meet employer needs and match to the skills and abilities of internees.
