Apprentice Manufacturing Technician (L3)

Working week: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.45pm (3.30pm finish Fridays), 37 hours per week

This 4 year Apprenticeship will enable you to become a competent engineer able to assemble and fault finding various types of instrumentations. It will also give you an overview on how the business operates within the various departments.

During your 4 year Apprenticeship you will learn how the business works spending time with different departments, so to have a broader knowledge of the processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and integrate electro-mechanical and pneumatics modules
• Assemble and test high precision mechanisms of medium sized capital equipment
• Perform alignment and troubleshooting of electro mechanical and pneumatic sub systems
• Revise and prepare documentation to validate equipment
• Fault test various equipment

Training:

• Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard (Mechatronics Pathway)
• Level 2 Functional Skills (If required)
• College Attendance at our Chaffron Way Campus
• Regular visits from the college in the workplace
• Observations and assessments in the workplace
• Use of E-portfolio
• End point assessment
• Ongoing training and support from the employer.
