Fixed-term post until September 2019 with possibility of extension due to funding.

The West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges (WYCC) is a partnership between the seven Further Education Colleges in West Yorkshire. In 2016, the 7 colleges developed a new Joint Venture that unites the region’s further education sector to work together to help improve the skills of the local workforce and ultimately  improve productivity across the Leeds City Region. As a result, the WYCC is now seeking an experienced individual to join its team in delivering a number of skills projects across Leeds City Region funded through the European Strategic Investment Fund. The funding will deliver a number of projects designed to improve the skills levels of individuals working together with partners and stakeholders to fulfill the region’s skills priorities.

All posts are part funded by the European Social Fund.

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining an awareness of developments within the WYCC across the Leeds City Region Skills Network, the regions priority sectors and funding organisations enabling the Consortium to effectively engage in new opportunities. Success in the role will see the post holder effectively communicating the Consortium vision and ambitions to the right partners and key stakeholders, ensuring all are kept well informed, and ensuring ongoing and efficient dissemination of WYCC results. The Partnership & Communications Officer will be responsible for managing the key contacts database, maintaining WYCC online presence and managing the work plans to expedite external engagements, WYCC Board meetings & supporting in the facilitation of key project events.
