An opportunity has arisen for an adaptable and well organised chemistry lecturer to join the team of Science lecturers in the Faculty of Technology. You should have the skills and experience to teach across a range of Level 3 science courses including BTEC Applied Science, Access to HE Diplomas, as well as GCSE Biology.
You must be able to deliver innovative lessons covering a range of subjects with a strong focus on developing the learner’s laboratory, technical and employability skills. Specialist subject knowledge of biology or physics in addition to chemistry would be desirable.
Ideally you should be a qualified teacher but training would be available for an exceptional candidate. Hours for part time teaching are variable and there is free parking on campus. Training and support is available for successful applicants from industry.
The successful candidate will work across both campuses and will join an experienced team of staff in a large faculty. Technology is a great faculty, home to hundreds of bright and enthusiastic students and apprentices, and many talented and experienced staff. We are passionate about providing the qualifications and training that meets the needs of local employers and communities.
