Counselling Lecturer (0.5 contract)

Counselling is placed within one of the largest departments in this highly successful Further Education College. We offer courses from level 1 through to Level 6. The department is a Grade 1 area with exceptional success rates. We would like to build upon this and appoint an adaptable, innovative and student-centred lecturer who can motivate and support our learners.

We are seeking an experienced Counsellor with a degree in a relevant subject and experience of being a professional Counsellor. There will be opportunities to teach on all programmes so a higher qualification would be very useful. Experience in the management of teaching programmes is essential for this role.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for a highly qualified person to join a team of experienced Counsellors.

Lecturers in the Counselling Department work closely together following a common programme and using a variety of methods. The department is well resourced and the team is supportive. Emphasis is placed on sharing best practice and developing creative approaches to teaching and learning.
