We are currently looking for enthusiastic lecturers with experience of teaching the underpinning theory and practical activities related to Computing and IT programmes.
Our computing team provides outstanding personal tutor support and we help develop our learner's Maths, English and employability skills alongside their main qualifications, typically full-time and part time City & Guilds/BTEC Diploma programmes at Levels 1 to 3, as well as work based apprenticeships and foundation degree. We also operate a Microsoft and CISCO academy and deliver a Foundation Degree in Software Development, and Network Management.
You should be able to deliver a range of outstanding programmes from the following areas:
- BTEC Levels 1-3 units.
- Teaching programming using a range of languages including: Java, Python, VB, SQL and C+.
- Foundation Degree programme.
- Networking and CCNA modules
Knowledge of the principles and concepts of Computing and IT are required, but administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team will also be a key to success in this role.
Ideally, although not essential, the successful candidate(s) will have a CCAI qualification and be able to deliver CCNA modules and be able to work flexibly, including some evenings.
*In addition to salary, this post attracts a bursary payment of £5,000 (£1,500 after 3 months, £1,500 after 9 months and £2,000 after 2 years’ employment).
