Learning Mentor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a team of Learning Mentors to join our Pastoral Support Team. 

Working closely alongside the Pastoral Support Team Leader, you will be responsible for the delivery of tutorials, managing a safeguarding caseload and supporting vulnerable learners for a cohort of approximately 160-200 learners. 

This role provides crucial support for learners through developing interpersonal, academic and work based skills through a differentiated tutorial experience. As well as providing welfare support, signposting learners to alternative support agencies and developing high aspirations so learners reach their full potential and progress to a positive destination. 

This key post requires an engaging, organised and proactive individual who has excellent communication skills and is learner focused. You will be a team player who is innovative, empathetic, and above all, have lots of enthusiasm. You will also be able to build effective working relationships and liaise with colleagues at all levels. 

This is a fast paced working environment, so you must be confident in using their own initiative.
