HCUC is a merger between Harrow College and Uxbridge College. Harrow College is situated in the London Borough of Harrow and aims to meet the needs of learners and employers in the West London area. The College has a strong profile with 16-18 achievement rates being the third highest of all London colleges which place us among the best Further Education Colleges in the country, including very good English and Maths results. Just two years ago at our last Ofsted Inspection 2016, the College was rated requires improvement, and since then we have been making good progress towards achieving our aims. The College is now well positioned to meet new opportunities and face the demands of the future.

We are now seeking to fill this challenging and rewarding role in supporting the college as we move into the second year of our merger with Uxbridge College, forming HCUC. Reporting to the Vice Principal – Curriculum & Quality, this post presents an excellent career opportunity for applicants who possess a robust understanding of the curriculum issues associated with vocational and GCSE, AS and A2 provision, and Higher Education contexts, specifically with regard to qualification reform and implications for portfolio planning.  The successful applicant will also line manage Heads of School drawn from a range of curriculum areas in addition to acting as the strategic lead for vocational curriculum developments generally at the College.

We are seeking an experienced FE professional with substantial and relevant management experience across a breadth of vocational and academic curriculum areas. In addition you must command excellent communication, analytical and a data focused skillset. You should also be a good people manager able to motivate and lead your team to deliver and maintain high standards within the College.

Equal Opportunities

Uxbridge College is an equal opportunities employer. We encourage applications from all people, irrespective of disability, race, gender, age, sexual orientation, transsexual or gender reassignment, marital or civil partnership, religion/faith or pregnancy and maternity leave.

To ensure that we meet our safeguarding commitments we will carry out all necessary pre-employment checks, including undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check for all successful candidates.
