Hourly Paid Lecturer - Sewing and Needlecraft Skills (SM0618D)

We are seeking an enthusiastic hourly paid Sewing and Needlecraft Skills tutor to join our Community Learning Team. Applicants will be required to teach on the 'Sew Me Something' programme which will be advertised in our 18/19 prospectus and will start in September, the class will be initially on Wednesdays between 7pm and 9pm at our Woodlands Campus. There will be the chance to design and develop a creative 10 week programme in the first instance which will engage and retain our learners, some of whom won't have been in education for a while.

Whilst experience of teaching sewing and needlecraft is desirable, consideration would be given to a gifted enthusiast with the relevant skills. You will have excellent communication and positive 'can do' attitude and have the ability to work as part of a team and independently. 

You will be an excellent administrator - well organised and able to meet deadlines. You will also have excellent communication skills as it is important to have regular contact and half-termly meetings with the rest of the Community Learning Team.
