We are seeking to employ a Business Administration Apprentice within Housing Asset and Development Services who are the landlord for Dudley Council owned housing properties and offer a range of services to tenants.

Within this section, there is a Communal Assets and Specialist Team who deliver both responsive repairs and planned maintenance, improvements to homes, sheltered schemes and flatted development to ensure they meet current standards. Bedded within this team are Administration officers that play a vital role, logging repairs onto the ICT systems and ensuring their progress is monitored. The administration team are also regularly receiving enquires from tenants, Council employees, MP’s and Councillors for things such as repair queries.

  • Dealing with various customers to the building

  • Must be computer literate having a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages i.e. Word, Excel etc.

Desired qualifications:

  • 4 GCSEs - Grade A-C or above to include Maths and English Language (or equivalent Functional skills Level 2).

Training provider:

This post holder plays a critical role with the Communal Assets and Specialist Team and will be responsible for leading an Administration Team that provides general administration duties as well as answering the phones and taking repair calls and liaising with contractors to ensure that works are promptly completed.

The post holder will be responsible for organising meetings, taking minutes, diary management; sorting and distributing the post and updating databases. The service also deals with a wide range of internal and external customers. In addition, you will be responsible for the management of the reception area dealing with various customers to the building. The post holder will need to have knowledge and experience in managing an Administration Team and must be computer literate having a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages i.e. Word, Excel etc.

There will be training provided for bespoke Council ICT systems.
