Peterborough Regional College offers education and training to over 10,000 students and businesses every year providing a huge range of courses to suit everyone – GCSEs, vocational career focused courses, part-time adult courses, Apprenticeships, higher education and professional training tailored to both individuals and employers.

We currently have a permanent, full time opportunity for a Learning Technologies Manager.

The successful applicant will play an integral role within the quality team to help shape learning in and out of the classroom. You will be required to not only develop solutions, but to actively promote and engage with lecturers, students and external clients and partners to embed the use of these new technology solutions and teaching methods into current and future delivery objectives. The continued development of blended learning and the creation of a digital student community is a key component of improving teaching and learning within Peterborough Regional College.

As the Learning Technologies Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the effective development, implementation, training and on-going review and evaluation of the virtual learning environment. In addition to the teaching and learning element of the role you will be responsible for the effective running of the internal, SharePoint platform. This platform plays an integral role for information to staff, experience with such a platform would be desirable. You will also be responsible in managing the effective running of learner surveys, which form an important aspect of the views of learners and employers.

This role is a one off within PRC and for the successful applicant will be a very diverse and rewarding position that will suit an adaptable, self-starter who is comfortable with exploring innovation within a teaching and learning setting.

The working hours will usually be 8.30 am to 5.00 pm from Monday to Thursday and 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on Friday. However, the working hours will vary on occasions dependent on the needs of the College. This position will be based at our Peterborough Park Crescent site.

The successful candidate will have a good level of education to a minimum of Level 2 in English and Maths, along with a relevant IT qualification at a minimum of Level 4 or equivalent. Experience of programming and SharePoint Platform management together with knowledge of a variety of e-learning software materials.

You will be a motivated, self-starter with the highest level of commitment to constantly seeking new business opportunities. This is a target driven role requiring a creative person that is driven to succeed. Exceptional communication skills both verbally and written are essential along with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
