The Role

The Faculty of Higher Education Sport is actively recruiting two Lecturers in Sport Science with a particular focus on the Social Sciences. Applicants who are able to commence employment as of August 2018, are particularly encouraged to apply.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a progressive, learner focused department that places innovative teaching, learning and assessment at the forefront of their professional practice.

For this role, you will have experience of teaching undergraduate students within your specialist area of the Sociology of Sport, Sports Coaching, Sport Pedagogy and/or Physical Education. You will also have the ability to contribute towards the delivery and assessment of Qualitative Research Methods.

You will have a commitment to student centred learning with teaching and curriculum design, underpinned by scholarly activity, research and/or experience as an applied practitioner. To be successful you will have a Masters and a good honours degree that is relevant to the post along with teaching experience in HE.
