HR Advisor (Maternity Cover)
This position will be based at our Peterborough Park Crescent site.
We are seeking a full time HR Advisor to join our team on a fixed term (up to 1 year) basis to cover maternity leave. Within this role you will support a range of managers across the College.
This is a busy and varied role and you will be involved in:
- Recruitment, overseeing the process and advising managers on best practice
- Advising on employment law, College policies and best practice
- Assisting managers with employee relation cases including absence management, disciplinary and grievances
- Supporting on training line managers in key HR topics
- Representing the department at meetings as required
We are looking for someone with previous HR administrative/advisory experience and excellent organisational and communication skills, along with the ability to build good working relationships with your key line managers. You will also have a level 3 HR qualification, or significant progress towards this.
This role would suit someone ready to take the next step in their HR career, but we are also interested in hearing from anyone already experienced in this type of role who wants to take the opportunity to work within the education sector. This is a full time 37 hours per week opportunity. You will be joining an experienced and established team who as well as looking after the HR generalist side also cover learning and development, payroll and pensions via a third party provider and our HR system. As we are a small and busy team it is essential that you are flexible and willing to cover for other team members as needed.
