Kirklees College is a large successful FE college, currently Ofsted graded as Good. Operating across Kirklees with centres based in Huddersfield and Dewsbury.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a modern building, with excellent on site facilities, such as a fully equipped gym, hair & beauty salons and fine dining restaurant.
The high performing grade 1 Sport and Public Services Department is looking for enthusiastic individuals to take up the role of lecturer and study programme lead for Public Services groups. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a forward thinking college and department to enthuse and engage young people in gaining qualifications, new experiences and opportunities to progress. The role will require adaptable individuals with strong leadership and communication skills who are highly self-motivated and can motivate others.
The successful applicants will also be responsible for the development of blended learning packages for Public Services, the organisation of residential activities/events/trips in the department and be fully involved in driving up recruitment of learners for the Sport and Public Services department at Kirklees College. This is an exciting opportunity to grow the curriculum offer and the potential for internal progression at Kirklees College.
The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C), relevant qualification(s) at Level 3 or above in subject specific area and a Level 5 teaching qualification or willingness to undertake within an agreed timescale. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.
